Character Registry

Single source of truth for every Fundaments character. If a song, image prompt, or story disagrees with a file here, the file here wins — update the file or update the other work, but don't let drift hide.

Scope: Fundaments characters represent physical fundamentals only — atoms, molecules, states of matter, forces, spacetime. Not biological entities, not narrative props, not individual visible-light colors. A tree, a cow, or a child may appear in a song to interact with Fundaments characters, but they are scenery, not characters. Don't registry them.

Subatomics (subatomic particles) — kingdom Subatomix

Proto — proton, +1 charge, defines which element you are
Neutro — neutron, zero charge, the stabilizer of the nucleus
Electra — electron, -1 charge, does all the chemistry
Nucleo — nucleus, the tiny dense core where Proto and Neutro live

Elementix (atoms)

Hydro — 1 proton, pale-yellow bouncer, inside every star
Helio — 2 protons, peachy cream, balloon-floaty squeaky-voice loner
Carbo — 6 protons, grey-silver, soft as pencil OR hard as diamond
Nitro — 7 protons, pale blue, fills the sky AND goes BOOM
Oxya — 8 protons, warm red-orange, breath and fire
Sodio — 11 protons, silver-white, fizzy with one spare spark
Chlora — 17 protons, green-yellow, zappy with one empty spot
Ferro — 26 protons, rust red, magnetic, in your blood and Earth's core
Auri — 79 protons, rich gold, never rusts, diva of the Elementix

Moleculics (molecules)

H2 — two Hydros bonded, the simplest molecule
Aquo — H₂O, water in all three states
Carboxy — CO₂, breathed out by us, breathed in by plants
Methano — CH₄, burp gas, swamp gas, stove gas
OxyDuo — O₂, the air we breathe (aliases: O-2, O2, di-oxygen)
Salty — NaCl, Sodio + Chlora bonded into safe crunchy crystal

Matterics (states of matter)

Solidic — deep-blue cube, molecules locked tight
LiQuo — aqua blob, molecules slide and glide
Aiery — light-purple cloud, molecules spread wide
Plasmo — purple electric, ionized gas of stars and lightning

Forcics (fundamental forces) — kingdom Forcix

Gravito — pulls every mass toward every other mass
Electromago — lightning + magnets, two forces as one
Strongy — holds the atomic nucleus together
Weaklo — gentle transformer, powers the sun

Spacetimics (fabric of reality) — kingdom Spacetimix

Spaceo — the fabric of space, bends and stretches
Tempo — the flow of time, one-way river

Fieldix (fields & the EM spectrum)

Fieldix covers fields and waves — the electromagnetic spectrum in full, not just visible light. Individual colors are NOT characters. What matters: radio, microwave, infrared, visible light (as a band), UV, X-ray, gamma. The existing song rainbow-wavelics.md covers the visible slice; future songs should cover the spectrum that actually runs modern life and the cosmos.

Category taxonomy

Each kingdom uses its own -ics/-ix suffix vocabulary for the category field.

What does NOT belong in this registry

Biological entities (trees, cows, bacteria). They may appear in songs as scenery.
Narrative props (the Sun as a character, a scientist, a kid). Scenery.
Individual visible colors (Reddo, Blueo, etc.). The visible spectrum is ONE band of Fieldix, not 7 characters. Songs can name colors; they aren't Fundaments.
Anything that isn't a physical fundamental. The test: is this a member of a finite, canonical set in physics? (elements, molecules, forces, fields, phases, spacetime dimensions)

Schema conventions

date_established is always a quoted ISO date string ("YYYY-MM-DD")
element_symbol and protons appear on every Elementix
formula appears on every Moleculic
aliases: [] is added wherever casing or naming drift has been observed

Status legend

canonical — established in a published or near-final song with visual guide alignment
sketch — appears in a draft song but attributes may still shift
