Kirchhoff's Laws (KVL & KCL)

Two laws of electrical circuits — voltage drops sum to zero around any loop (KVL), and current in equals current out at every node (KCL) — taught as a pair of shouty character voices. Phonetic "KIRK-off" because Suno reads the "ch" as soft.

KIRK-off! (KIRK-off!) KIRK-off! (KIRK-off!) Say it like you mean it — KIRK-off! (The "ch" sounds like a K! K-I-R-K!)

Two laws — TWO LAWS — running every wire, Every battery, every light, every dryer! Listen up — meet the LAWS!

[LOOP WALKER] I walk the LOOP — round and round! Battery PUSHES — voltage goes UP! Resistor PULLS — voltage drops DOWN! Add 'em all up — and I'm back at zero!

That's the VOLTAGE law! Energy can't appear from thin air — Walk a loop, end up where you started. Up and down — sums to ZERO!

KIRK-off! (KIRK-off!) KIRK-off! (KIRK-off!) Voltage Law — every loop comes home!

[NODE SITTER] I sit at the NODE — where wires MEET! Current flows IN — three amps strong! Splits down two paths — two and one! Two plus one — equals THREE!

What goes IN must come OUT! Charge can't appear from thin air either — At every junction, in equals out! Same number — every time!

KIRK-off! (KIRK-off!) KIRK-off! (KIRK-off!) Current Law — every node stays even!

[NODE SITTER] Picture a PIPE — water flowing through! Branch into two pipes — water splits in two! Add the two streams — same as the big one! That's KCL — but for AMPS, not water!

[LOOP WALKER] Picture a HILL — you walk to the top — Then you walk back DOWN to where you started — Total UP equals total DOWN — That's KVL — but for VOLTS, not feet!

KIRK-off! (KIRK-off!) KIRK-off! (KIRK-off!) Two laws — TWO LAWS — that run the wires!

KVL — every loop sums to ZERO! KCL — every node stays EVEN! Conservation, conservation — Energy and charge — neither one appears!

[BOTH] I walk the LOOP! (I sit at the NODE!) Voltage Law! (Current Law!) Both of us together — KIRK-off!

beep beep beep

(The "ch" is a K — say it again:) KIRK-off! KIRK-off! KIRK-off!
