Be Wise and Kind Every Day (Laws 13–18)

Laws 13–18 retold for kids as mutual benefit, deep listening, finishing things, the value of presence and absence, playful surprise, and not hiding away from your people.

When you need a favor, here's a little trick, Show how helping you helps them—that does the trick! "Let's both win together!" is the thing to say, Teamwork feels much better than "please help me" any day. Be curious and listen, learn what people love, Notice little details like a watching dove! When you understand what makes your good friends tick, You'll know just the right gift or the perfect pick.

What is, is not always what is good, People don't always act the way they should! So learn how the world works, then choose your own way, Be wise AND be kind every single day!

When you've got a problem, solve it all the way, Don't leave little pieces for another day! Finish what you started, tie it up with string, A job that's done completely is a wonderful thing. Sometimes take a break and let your friends all miss you, When you come back around, they'll cheer and want to kiss you! A little space and quiet makes your presence shine, Like sunshine after rainclouds—oh so warm and fine.

What is, is not always what is good, People don't always act the way they should! So learn how the world works, then choose your own way, Be wise AND be kind every single day!

Surprise can be delightful—keep some tricks in store, Be playful and creative, never be a bore! When no one knows what's coming, life's a fun parade, A dash of the unexpected keeps the magic made. Don't hide in your tower all alone up high, Get out with your people underneath the sky! Friends keep you connected, safe and strong and true, The world is much better when it's shared with you.
